White Heron - Issue One and Limited Edition Statue!

Hi folks! I hope you're having a fabulous 2017! I've been busy behind the scenes setting up the BackerKit surveys and they will be coming soon! 

A couple of BIG announcements! 

1) We were only $4200 away from hitting the $25k stretch goal here on Kickstarter. We have the second chapter written and partially created so... if we hit the $4200 in pre-sales on Kickstarter, we will include the second chapter with your books AT NO EXTRA CHARGE. This means, once the BackerKit goes live... share, share, share for pre-orders!

2) We are once again offering the popular "ship it now" option. This is great if you want your Spinnerette books or statues early, rather than waiting for the White Heron book and statue to be completed in late spring. 

Here's the info from BackerKit:

"We will send an email with a special link to BackerKit surveys . It is important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information for fulfilling your rewards. You do not need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey, just click on the survey link, fill it out, and you’re all good to go! 

You will be able to answer questions about your rewards preferences, provide shipping information, and pledge for more “add-ons” if you'd like. You do not have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email! If you decide later that you want to edit your survey response, you can go back to your survey and change it any time before we lock down the surveys for processing. If you need to review your information or pledge status, you will be able to recover your survey here: white-heron.backerkit.com. If you use your Facebook login for your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey will be sent to the email you used for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you would prefer to use, please contact support at white-heron.backerkit.com/faq and we'll get you sorted out!"

Howdy backers! 

Our artist, Fernando Furukawa, has decided to release some of the original, inked pages from White Heron. He's keeping some for his portfolio, but the following pages are available: 

01,02,07,10,13,16,18,19,20,22 (check out Spinnyverse.com and you can see each individual page)

We're going to release 5 pages on the Kickstarter, pages will be $100 and proceeds go towards the project and to pay Fernando for continuing on the series! I am going to be adding 5 "art" tier upgrades to the rewards in a few minutes. Pages will be "first come, first serve" in the order that you backed the project. Individual backers will be contacted and given the chance to pick from the pages and art will be mailed out Priority mail in a separate shipment from the remaining rewards in order to protect the art. 

If you don't see the rewards combination you are looking for, please e-mail me and I might be able to set up a custom reward for you!

Second Stretch Goal Reached!

Bang the drums, blow your horns! We've hit the $15,000 mark! Way to go Backers! I have no doubt that your tireless cheerleading of this project has directly brought about this success! Thanks to all of you, EVERYONE will be receiving either a 5x7 mini-print (included with all physical rewards) or a downloadable image (included with all digital rewards)!

We still have ONE MORE WEEK to go with this campaign and one of the biggest requests has been for MORE of White Heron's story. Well, we'd LOVE to include the second chapter with this print run. We funded much of the initial art via our Patreon page (shout out to the Patreon backers!), so this campaign was originally just to print and ship the books and to create the statues. So, in order to print the second chapter, we'd also need to pay for the art. That means the final stretch goal is a true STRETCH... we'd need to hit the $25,000 mark in order to pay for the art, printing and additional shipping costs of including the second chapter.

That seems like, well, a stretch but... if we hit it, the second chapter will be included for all physical and digital backers, at no additional cost! So... how do we achieve this goal? SHARE SHARE SHARE! If you know comic fans, please let them know about this project! We'll also be adding some original White Heron art by Fernando Furukawa as limited edition tiers to help towards this goal.

So hang on to your hats Backers, we're just getting warmed up!!

Updated Statue Pictures! Plus, Chibi Charm update!

Hello Backers!

A couple quick updates on the statues and Chibi Charms!

We've been working with the sculptors to finesse the White Heron 12" statue and I think we're pretty close to a final model! Check her out! She's a bit less boxy than the original model, more true to the character design...I'm pretty pleased :) Once we approve the final design, she'll be ready for casting and painting! All of the statues will be hand painted and she'll come well-packed in a professionally designed box, safe for shipping! We're limiting her to 100 total pieces (although we will have a few extra on hand for possible breakage or shipping issues!). 

In terms of size... she's pretty massive. Krow and I are collectors ourselves, so we wanted White Heron to be similar in size and quality to some of the premium statues we've got on our shelves. She's about twice the height and 3x the weight of the Spinnerette statues... she even towers over Minerva! Pick her up while she's still available!

Additionally, remember when I mentioned that the $8 add-on chibi charms would be double sided! Well, Rocio is finishing up the reverse side, so I'll be adding images later! 

As we head into the last week of the campaign, please don't forget to continue sharing! We're definitely still hoping to do the 5x7 prints!
